Here is where you will find quotes from thinkers throughout the ages.

A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody has read.
-Mark Twain

A multitude of laws in a country is like a great number of physicians: a sign of weakness and malady. -Voltaire

One's first step in wisdom is to question everything, and one's last is to come to terms with everything.

Let's hear it for being able to find the entire text of a book online, especially the classics! There's something about reading old books on a new computer. Some good Samaritan has brought Jules Verne, seminal science fiction writer of the 19th Century, to the defining medium of the 21st Century. This link takes you to the text of Verne's "A Journey to the Center of the Earth." Be sure to follow the links you find there, however, for they will take you to page upon page of this great author's work:

A Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne

Featured Book: Sex and Rockets
Hey, come explore a book about a very peculiar fellow! Jack Parsons was a key figure in the development of American rocket science. He was also a member of Aleister Crowley's occult organization, the Ordo Templi Orientis (aka OTO). Parsons was both scientist and mystic. This book does a good job of exploring this rather interesting man's life. I picked it up not long ago, and I am delving into its depths.
